Bedtime for Spider is a true family project: inspired by child, written by mom, and illustrated by Grandpa (or more affectionately known as “Grampy”).

Bedtime for Spider is Ron Carlson's first illustrated book but he is no stranger to the arts. As a full time French teacher, Ron also designs and creates the sets for his performing arts high school, but more importantly, he spends much of his free time painting, drawing, building, sculpting, and creating. His New Jersey home (as well as his granddaughter’s) is filled with original paintings, drawings, and even furniture! In his “spare time”, he enjoys spending time with his grandkids and slowly completing the ever growing “honey-do” list.
